It’s been a busy week-end with the running of the 2015 AIPP South Australian Epson Professional Photography Awards (affectionately known as SAPPAs), culminating last night with the awards presentation dinner.

I am so proud to have been announced as a finalist, for the second year in a row, in the Travel Category.

Not only that, the image shown above is the highest scoring print I have achieved so far since entering these awards both at State and National levels.  This print scored a total of 89 points (Silver Distinction), a ‘whisker’ off my first gold which falls at a score of 90.

The image below achieved a Silver Award and the remaining two scoring just below the Silver range at 79 and 76 respectively.

All of these photographs were taken in Vang Vieng, Laos during my visit in February/March this year.  Definitely a place to put on your next travel itinerary.

AIPP SA will be opening an awards exhibition as a part of SALA 2015.  The exhibition will be at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 2 August for around 4 weeks.  Please, if you are in Adelaide, come along and enjoy the most incredible printed photography – seeing these images on the screen really does them no justice.  My Silver Distinction will also feature in this exhibition.

Next up, the 2015 Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards in October.Silver79Blog Single PortraitLink to the AIPP
