Autumn in Adelaide is a wonderful time to celebrate a marriage. With the worst of the hot weather behind us, the temperate yet still pleasantly warm autumn climate gives scope for a most magical day.
This was absolutely the case for David and Khanie who exchanged vows at the Adelaide Botanic Garden on the 12th of March 2016.
While family and friends gathered under what is known as the Barbershop Rotunda to witness their ceremony, David and Khanie stood in the shade of one of the most beautiful trees inside the gardens.
Before their wedding day, I always ask my couples if there will be anything special happening during the ceremony that I need to be aware of. This could be sand pouring or lighting candles. For David and Khanie, they chose to hand their wedding rings, in a small pouch, to be passed around to each guest – this was called the ‘warming of the rings’. Such a lovely gesture to include those closest to them.
The ceremony was followed by a casual stroll around the gardens to capture their beautiful photos whilst their reception venue, The Watershed Function Centre at Mawson Lakes provided the perfect backdrop for their dreamy sunset photos.
